Shutout! Warriors Earn 2nd Win of the Year

Beth Tfiloh’s Brad M. '17 Tosses One-Hit Shutout, Warriors Topple Concordia Prep, 5-0
By: Coach Snyder

Beth Tfiloh junior Brad M. '17 pitched seven shutout innings as the host Warriors downed Concordia Prep, 5-0, Wednesday afternoon at Sudbrook Magnet Middle.

A leadoff single in the top of fourth was the only blemish for Brad, who fanned 12, in addition to going 2 for 3 at the plate with an RBI and a run scored. The Warriors were also led offensively by third baseman Noah R. '16. The senior third baseman went 2 for 3 with two doubles and two batted in—all coming with two outs.

Defensively, Beth Tfiloh committed just one total error and benefited from strong outfield play by freshman left fielder Josh F. '19 and and senior center fielder Uri B. '16. Uri recorded the first out in the fifth inning by hauling in a line drive to the left-center gap with a sprawling dive.

Beth Tfiloh entered the bottom of the 6th ahead 2-0 and tacked on insurance runs with RBIs from Noah R. '16 and senior first baseman Andrew S. '16, who laced a base hit between short and third to give the Warriors the five-run lead.

The win gave BT two league victories on the season.  Let's go Warriors!
