Honoring Our Veterans

By: Kara E. ‘16
Last week, Beth Tfiloh High school students gathered to celebrate and honor veterans who have fought for our country. We had the privilege to listen to US Army veteran Sergeant Green, who spoke about how he and his “brothers” risked their lives against enemy gunfire. When Cole A. ’15 asked the Sergeant about his “major influence to join the army,” Sergeant Green answered that “I went to college, but I wanted to see the world. I wanted to do something with my time here on earth. So, stopping college and joining the military seemed like the right thing to do”.

As a school community, we would like to thank all those who have served in the military, people who are serving in the military, and our Stars and Stripes committee for organizing and preparing our assembly.
