Hebrew Short Story Competition

Morah Ella Shaked’s Hebrew language class studied the works of popular modern Israeli author Etgar Keret, who is known for his casual, conversational tone and surprise endings. After reading three of his stories, the students were asked to write their own short stories in Keret’s style, which were then reviewed and judged by a panel including Driector of Education Mrs. Zipora Schorr, High School Interim Principal Mrs. Deborah Rapoport, High School Librarian Mrs. Shira London, several Judaic studies teachers and the entire High School Hebrew Language department.

The winning submissions were:
Rafi L. ’15: Green Apron
Anna B. ’15: Rubber Duck
Elan H. ’15: Where Are You?
