Several of our students and School parents who joined the BT delegation at today's #stopiranrally in New York, led by Rabbi Jonathan Gross, shared their thoughts on the experience:
Maya D. '22: "There were some anti-Israel protesters who yelled at us. At first I felt bad but then I felt proud to be Jewish."
Erela I. '22: "I learned so much today. I really hope we made a difference."
Ariela K. '22: "I learned a lot. I hope we were able to persuade Sen. Chuck Schumer."
Ari B. '21: "It was interesting seeing all the famous people who support Israel. We got to shake hands with Gov. George Pataki."
Caleb G. '21: "It was great to be a part of something to help Israel, America, and the world."
Tali B. '19: "Today I really cared about Israel--I felt like I was a part of something."
Mrs. Ora Imanoel: "I told the girls that when I was their age I lived in Iran and I was scared to tell people I was Jewish. They are lucky that they can feel proud."
Mrs. Aviva Kovacs: "Thanks to Rabbi Gross for helping us join with 15,000 other people to make our voices heard to protest the terrible deal with Iran."
