“It’s from the Sole” Shoe Collection
 
November 4 – December 2, 2019

Brand new or gently used tennis shoes/sneakers will be collected to be donated to those in need. Join together with the entire Beth Tfiloh community to help us reach our goal. “It’s from the Sole” founder Andre McDonell has been featured on Ellen, CNN, and the New York Post. He is partnered with Adidas, New Balance, and VANS and will be coming to Beth Tfiloh to receive our shoe collection for distribution. Mercaz members will cook Shabbat meals at Beth Tfiloh for families affiliated with CHANA. *CHANA strives to create a healing community for women and children in Baltimore that responds to abuse with action and compassion.
 
“How Sweet It Is” Dessert Drop Off
 
February 10, 2020

Drop off home-baked or store-bought desserts in the Weiner Board Room, between 8 am and 10 am. All donations will benefit clients at Paul’s Place in Downtown, Baltimore. *Paul’s Place provides services that support individuals, strengthen families, and foster hope in Southwest Baltimore.
 
Gift Card Collection for CHANA
 
March 2 – March 23, 2020

Mercaz will be collecting gift cards for Mother’s Day
to benefit the women at CHANA, in loving memory of Leah Goldseker.
 
Pre-Pesach Chametz Drive
 
March 26 – April 3, 2020

Drop-off non-perishable food donations that are NOT expired during BT in the AM. All food donations will benefit GEDCO. *GEDCO provides food advocacy and special assistance for over 7,000 people in Baltimore City.
 
CHANA Used Clothes Bin
 
We are thrilled to announce the addition of a used clothing shed that was installed near the corner of the Beth Tfiloh High School Parking lot for donations to CHANA. Receipts are available on the
left-hand side of the donation slot. Accepted items: clothing, shoes, sneakers, belts, purses, blankets, sheets, drapes, pillowcases, and stuffed animals. Items NOT accepted: toys, and household items.
