Welcome Home... to BT BaBayiT!

We may all be apart, but we are all a part of the BT Synagogue family.

This winter, connect with other BT shul members through shared interest groups as a part of our new initiative, BT BaBayiT, sponsored by the Ronnie H. and Alli Russel Charitable Foundation Inc. and The Russel Family. Brought to you by our Synagogue Life Committee, you can explore a topic of interest, while connecting with members of our shul in your own homes.
What is BT BaBayiT?
Connect with your fellow BT shul members in a whole new way!
BT BaBayit is a chavurah-style program just for BT synagogue members. Unlike conventional chavurot, which are typically formed by individuals or couples of similar ages or life stages, BT BaBayit allows you to find BT community members who share your interests in specific topics or activities, explore those interests together, and build new friendships — regardless of age or stage of life. Our BT rabbis will join in, providing Jewish insight into your group's area of focus.

How Do I Participate in BT BaBayiT?
  • Any Beth Tfiloh synagogue member is eligible to participate in BT BaBayiT
  • Members can only join one group at a time and are asked to make the commitment to attend monthly get togethers between January and June 2021
  • Choose a special interest group that you would enjoy being a part of monthly beginning this winter and also indicate if you are interested in helping to coordinate the group with the assistance of the shul staff
  • Groups will meet via Zoom or in socially distanced outdoor settings at the discretion of the group members if the current COVID situation allows.
  • Topics/dates/guest speakers will all be decided by the group members
  • Interest group facilitation is based on a sufficient amount of interest from members and a member willing to coordinate the group
