Beth Tfiloh offers services and programs to meet your spiritual needs all week long. We offer a choice of Shabbat services with a number of “user-friendly” enhancements that make the Modern Orthodox service attractive. The addition of a halachically-approved Tzomet sound system and increased participation by women are innovations which aim to expand the appeal of this special house of worship and make Beth Tfiloh’s service truly unique on the American Jewish scene.
Dahan Sanctuary Services Dahan Sanctuary services provide a morning of high-spirited cantorial singing featuring the melodic baritone of Cantor Avi Albrecht, meaningful prayers and world-class sermons delivered by Rabbis Mitchell Wohlberg, Chai Posner and Eli Yoggev.
The Minyan service on Shabbat morning and holidays in the Epstein Chapel provides a less formal service in a more intimate setting to enable Beth Tfiloh to serve the broadest cross section of the Jewish community. This service appeals to those who enjoy a more intimate, participatory service with a unique blend of contemporary and traditional Judaism.
Expand your horizons at one of our many thought-provoking classes, with a variety of daily, weekly and monthly classes to choose from that bring Torah and Jewish living to life. Join a group class, hear world-class speakers, or engage in one-on-one chavrutah (partner) style learning sessions – whatever your skill level or interests, BT has a learning opportunity to meet your needs. (See the enclosed Program Guide for a complete schedule of this year’s learning opportunities.) Complement your on-site learning with informal learning and meet new friends at our Empty Nesters’ Chavurah, which meets at private homes or other locations
BT Men and Sisterhood events and programs offer you opportunities to engage in mitzvah projects (in conjunction with BT Cares!), meet new friends, and participate in fun activities, including Bingo, Men’s Night Out, fashion shows, cooking demonstrations and more!
Now that the kids are out of the house…it’s YOU time! Get involved in volunteer projects, make new friends while learning at one of our Chavurot, or join a special Shabbat dinner. Beth Tfiloh has so many ways for you to make new friends and connect to our friendly community!
Beth Tfiloh's clergy are available for a full range of life-cycle events and other services for Congregation members, including officiating at your children’s weddings and your grandchildren’s bris/baby namings and bar and bat mitzvahs. Our warm and supportive clergy also offer bereavement counseling…or just a friendly listening ear when you need it.
BT Cares, our social action committee, organized more than 200 volunteers to help with Hurricane Sandy disaster relief, collected more than 1,500 pairs of gloves for winter survival kits, delivered more than 700 Mishloach Manot bags to Jewish nursing homes and hospitals during Purim this year, making a difference in the lives of so many. This coming year, BT Cares will focus the majority of its community efforts on joining the fight against homelessness, using a thematic approach to have a more significant impact on a specific cause. Opportunities are also available to visit sick community members, fulfilling the important mitzvah of bikkur cholim.
Members of our synagogue are entitled to a variety of discounts on facility rentals, classes and other programs. View complete details here.
