Jewish life doesn't end after college...at BT, it's just beginning.
Get involved in social action and volunteer opportunities, share Shabbat and holidays with other young adults, and maybe even learn a little!
Baltimore-area young Jewish professionals ages 21 to mid-30s can connect through Beth Tfiloh Young Professionals' (BTYP) fun and engaging programming. View BTYP events and activities here or join the BTYP Facebook Group.
Beth Tfiloh offers services and programs to meet your spiritual needs all week long. We offer a choice of Shabbat services with a number of “user-friendly” enhancements that make the Modern Orthodox service attractive. The addition of a halachically-approved Tzomet sound system and increased participation by women are innovations which aim to expand the appeal of this special house of worship and make Beth Tfiloh’s service truly unique on the American Jewish scene.
Dahan Sanctuary Services Dahan Sanctuary services provide a morning of high-spirited cantorial singing featuring the melodic baritone of Cantor Avi Albrecht, meaningful prayers and world-class sermons delivered by Rabbis Mitchell Wohlberg, Chai Posner and Eli Yoggev.
The Minyan service on Shabbat morning and holidays in the Epstein Chapel provides a less formal service in a more intimate setting to enable Beth Tfiloh to serve the broadest cross section of the Jewish community. This service appeals to those who enjoy a more intimate, participatory service with a unique blend of contemporary and traditional Judaism.
At BT, we never take a day off from learning Torah!
Before Saturday morning services, spend some time learning Torah with one of our rabbis. Delve into traditional texts and prepare for the Shabbat services.
Every Shabbat afternoon our rabbis lead a stimulating hour of Torah study before Mincha. Topics range from Jewish thought to the weekly Parshah to Jewish law.
BT Cares, our social action committee, organized more than 200 volunteers to help with Hurricane Sandy disaster relief, collected more than 1,500 pairs of gloves for winter survival kits, delivered more than 700 Mishloach Manot bags to Jewish nursing homes and hospitals during Purim this year, making a difference in the lives of so many.
This coming year, BT Cares will focus the majority of its community efforts on joining the fight against homelessness, using a thematic approach to have a more significant impact on a specific cause. Opportunities are also available to visit sick community members, fulfilling the important mitzvah of bikkur cholim.
Our outstanding, friendly rabbis offer personalized, one-on-one learning to help you build your shul and davening skills, so that you will feel comfortable at all times in any service.
Beth Tfiloh's clergy are available for a full range of life-cycle events and other services for Congregation members, including officiating at your wedding, your child's bris/baby namings or just to provide a friendly listening ear when you need it.
