BT Students Participate in UMD Young Women's STEM Program
Ten BT High School students participated in the University of Maryland Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center's 4th Annual STEM Event for Young Women.
Hailey G. '19, Grace S. '19, Selena S. '20, Naomi B. '20, Rebecca C. '20, Anna A. '21, Gabi D. '21, Abigail H. '21, Samantha M. '21, and Alma M. '21 joined students from other Baltimore-area schools at University of Maryland Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center's 4th Annual STEM Event for Young Women last week, coordinated by BT alum parent Dr. Rena Gelerman Lapidus. At the program, the girls isolated DNA from cancer cells, learned about STEM career options from a panel of female professionals in a variety of STEM fields, and toured University of Maryland School of Medicine Official Page's Center for Innovative Biomedical Resources.
