About Tuition

Beth Tfiloh Dahan provides a challenging and comprehensive academic program rooted in Jewish values. Our mission seeks to grant admission to academically qualified students from a wide range of Jewish backgrounds, without regard to their family’s economic circumstances.
The tuition and fees which are charged for each student cover less than 80% of the actual annual cost of a Beth Tfiloh education, with the remaining funds obtained through voluntary contributions by parents and other supporters. In order to make a Beth Tfiloh Dahan education affordable to more parents, generous Financial Assistance is available to a broad range of families.

Financial Aid

Beth Tfiloh has a generous Financial Assistance program, benefiting approximately 50 percent of our current students, with awards of nearly $3.6 million annually.

The goals of our Financial Aid process continue to be as follows:
  • To make financial assistance accessible to a broad range of families.
  • To make the financial assistance application process strictly confidential and user-friendly.
  • To carefully consider the personal circumstances of each family applying for financial assistance.
  • To enable as many children as possible to benefit from a Beth Tfiloh education.
  • To provide continuing financial assistance to families to enable their children to complete their education at Beth Tfiloh.

Likelihood of Financial Aid Eligibility

Financial aid awards typically range from 10 percent to 45 percent of tuition, depending on individual family circumstances. We encourage all applicant families to speak to our Admission Office or our Financial Aid Office about the availability of financial assistance for their children. For more information, contact Laurie Kott, Director of Admission at lkott@btfiloh.org or call 410-413-2308.

We encourage our current school parents to feel free to address any financial concerns by contacting Harriet Rosen, School Administrator, at hrosen@btfiloh.org or call 410-413-2310.

Financial Aid Committee
The Financial Aid Committee strives to provide assistance to as many families as possible in order to achieve the school's mission to provide a Jewish education to as many children as possible.
Family financial information

In computing the amount of aid, the Committee shall take into account family size, income and expenses, assets and liabilities, priorities for spending and special circumstances should they exist. The Committee shall use the information supplied to it by the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment Service as a guideline and shall not be bound to base its determination on the parameters suggested by the FACTS Service.

Financial aid will not be awarded to any family that may be indebted to Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School.
