Weather update: Nov. 15

Thank you all for your cooperation. We are glad we were able to have productive classes for our students today.

We have been informed by many sources, including police and traffic control, that the roads throughout the County are not in good shape yet, but will be plowed. Therefore, we believe it is in the best interests of our students, teachers, staff, and parents that students remain in school until dismissal. That will give us sufficient time to clear the parking lots, and will also provide additional time for the County to plow and clear the roads, since the forecast is that snow will stop at three.

Of course we are aware of the uncertainty of weather predictions, and we are doing our best to ensure that students stay indoors and in class.

All after school activities, athletics, and programs are cancelled, including the 6th grade parent social event, and BT Plus. The High School production of “Arsenic and Old Lace” is rescheduled for Sunday at 7:00 p.m. We are dismissing our High School student drivers fifteen minutes early so that they will not be driving in the usual dismissal traffic.

We will have guards outside to ensure that the traffic patterns are followed, and we ask ALL drivers to exercise extreme caution but also good road etiquette so that everyone remain safe. In the meantime, stay warm and stay safe!
