Diversity advocate Yavilah McCoy explored the growing racial and ethnic diversity of our world-wide Jewish community through the lens of Torah and love of God with an audience of nearly 400 at the 2017 Penn Lecture.

Earlier in the day, Ms. McCoy inspired Beth Tfiloh Middle and High School students to feel and share their Jewish pride. She also encouraged them to build relationships with Jews of all racial and ethnic backgrounds; to have the courage to speak up about injustice; and to experience the joy of Torah while fulfilling its mitzvot.

At the Stanley Z. Penn Memorial Lecture later that day, Ms. McCoy explained the need to build courageous relationships with other people, with Jewish diversity, with the Torah, and with social justice.
