Boys Varsity Basketball: BT Wins For Season Sweep of Park
Coach Braun
The Old Court Road rivals met for the 2nd time in a week, and it was a defensive struggle of a game. Both teams faced difficulty finding an offensive rhythm as Park led 7-6 after a quarter and BT led 17-13 at the half. The Warriors never trailed in the 2nd half though Park did manage to cut it to a one possession game late in the contest. Harris G. '19 led the Warriors with 11 points despite not making a single field goal. He made 9/10 from the line in the 4th quarter to keep BT ahead and provide the final margin of victory. Harris finished 11/14 from the line and scored in double figures for the 5th straight game. Oren P. '18 finished with 10 points.
The win puts Beth Tfiloh's conference record at 6-3 and, coupled with Concordia Prep's loss to Sts. Peter & Paul tonight, clinches a playoff spot for the Warriors just one year after finishing in 2nd to last place. Way to go Warriors!
