Boys MS Lax: Warriors Stout Defense Stymies Cougars

Beth Tfiloh played its second game in as many days against a hard-hitting squad from Mt. Carmel.  The Warriors had sustained possession early but were unable to convert, and the Cougars responded once they got the ball back and took a 1-0 lead.  BT had a strong response to going down and scored the last 3 goals of the 1st half (one for Jacob S. '22 and a pair for Drew G. '21) to go into halftime with the lead, 3-1.  Mt. Carmel closed the gap to 3-2 immediately off the 2nd half faceoff.  The score remained 3-2 for most of the 2nd half before longpole defenseman Brady P. '21 made a great run to goal and converted for the 4-2 lead.  BT's defense, led by Joe L. '21 in goal and a strong trio of longpoles (Eran F. '21, Brady P. '21, and Chanan K. '21), held on for the 4-2 victory.  Way to go Warriors!
