May 7: Sunday Night

Shalom to Parents and Friends of the Wonderful Class of 2017,

It is Sunday night, May 7th, and our kids had an incredible day this Sunday. Their focus was the Old City and the City of David. They began with touring of the Old City. There they were given money to have lunch and had arranged to meet up with some of the BT kids – Hillel Stutman '16, Aaron Stein '16, a number of kids from Beth Tfiloh joined up with the group – and it was a great reunion.

Expect for some of you to be getting beautiful presents, our kids did manage to do a little retail therapy, the results of which will show upon your credit cards, most likely, and certainly in their suitcases. Then back at the hotel for a break and they had two speakers on music and theatre. The program stressed the amount of time a student could spend learning about the arts in a gap year program.

Then back to the Old City where they went on another Tunnel Tour. The first one around the tunnel was under the City of David and this one was the Kotel tunnel tour. They then had a late dinner and went back to the hotel to organize their luggage to prep for the desert hike, pack up, learn some about how to dress for and what to expect on the desert hike and then, I hope, they got to sleep so they could get up early this morning which is right about now in preparation for their desert experience. We will hear more about that once they complete their hike.

In the meantime have a very good night and a very good day,

Zipora Schorr
