When you’re the seniors of the PreSchool, you gotta show those younger kids how you roll. So when the 4’s were offered the opportunity to plan their own Mesibat Aliya (“Moving Up Party”), they jumped at it.
Literally.
Their new and improved, if not slightly warm, moving up ceremony included special performances of their favorite class songs — “Norman” by Sue Thompson, “Fifty Nifty” by Ray Charles, and “Thula Thula a Zulu Lullaby” — a moon bounce, face painting, games, and refreshments prepared by the students — with a little help from their teachers.
This collaborative effort is truly the culmination of their emergent curriculum PreSchool experience.
