Chaperoning the Poland/Israel Trip

I was excited to accompany the seniors on their trip to Poland and Israel as my senior trip was unable to travel to Israel because of security concerns during the Intifada. I started a bit nervous to leave my family for over a week but was quickly inspired by my new family of Beth Tfiloh students and our shared experience in Poland and Israel. I will never forget bairing witness to horrors at Auschwitz and stepping off the plane in Israel a mere 24 hours later. It was an unbelievable feeling to be standing in the comfort of the Jewish State after having seen such devastation. This was many of the seniors first time in Poland and Israel and I felt extremely honored to be able share this journey with them.

The Beth Tfiloh class of 2017 is such a special group of young men and woman. We laughed together, we cried together, but most importantly we made memories together. They will always have a special place in my heart. I know this was the Seniors' trip, but I also learned and grew throughout our travels. I am grateful towards Mrs. Schorr, and Beth Tfiloh for including me in this chance of a lifetime.
