BT High School’s Royal Treatment: Back to School Melavah Malka

Ending one of the first Shabbatot of the year together as a school community reminded me of why I love this school and Shabbat. As we stood in a circle listening to Havdalah, I looked around the room and noticed the smiles on everyone's faces. I could feel the sense of community in the room.

Once the band, The Groggers, began to play, the dancing started immediately. There were many laughs and lots of dancing with teachers and friends. The amazing desserts were brought out and everyone started running over to taste the plethora of choices, including s'mores, ice cream, and hot pretzels, while chatting the night away! I'm so lucky to be a part of this school community where I'm proud to be spending a Saturday night with my teachers at school.
