BT High School Students Create Community Impact

Molly S. ’20, co-president of the TOGA (Tikun Olam Get Active) club, collaborated with other High School student leaders to create a hands-on community service fair, giving all BT High School students the chance to make an impact in our community.

The projects benefitted the following Baltimore-area organizations:

1. Kindness cards for Future Care Nursing Home
2. Seed paper (using recycled paper) for Atrium Village
3. Mod Podge tzedakah boxes for Beth Tfiloh classrooms
4. Flower pots to give to Habitat for Humanity homeowners at their house dedications
5. Math flash cards for KIPP Baltimore school students
6. Braiding challahs for Chai Lifeline families
7. Greeting cards for local policemen
8. Thanksgiving placemats for the St. Rita’s Soup Kitchen
9. Fabric braided dog toys for the Baltimore Humane Society
10. Beaded friendship bracelets for Friendship Circle participants
11. Snack bags for the Beans and Bread Homeless Shelter
12. Painted placemats for residents at Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Park Assisted Living

Kol hakavod — well done! — to all of our students for their participation.
