31st Annual Florence & Joseph Weiner Basketball Tournament Recap

Thank you to all the BT staff and faculty members that made this year’s Weiner Tournament an incredible success, to all the host families that made our guests feel at home, and especially to the Weiner family for their ongoing generous support of this annual BT milestone.

The Weiner Basketball Tournament is more than just athletics. It's a BT community-wide experience. From our host families who graciously open their homes for our visiting athletes and the students managing weinerfever.com and all the social media coverage, to students and faculty in all divisions who share their support and spirit for our BT Warriors, the Weiner Basketball Tournament is one of the highlights of each BT school year.

The multi-media team coverage was led by Eli S. '18 and Jordon K. '18, weinerfever.com; Hailey M. '18, social media: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat (weiner_fever); Tyler S. '20 YouTube livestream; and Betzalel M. '18, radio livestream.

The Weiner Basketball Tournament even made the Israeli news!

Said former BT shaliach and friend-for-life Haggai Lavie, "For the Boyar students this was an extraordinary experience. On top of the participation in a serious, professional tournament, with an electrifying atmosphere that surrounds the entire congregation – our students were hosted by local families, got to know many American teenagers (with many they stay in contact throughout the year), and they all name this experience as one of the most significant in their lives.” Read the complete article here
