Boys Varsity Basketball: Warriors Win Big at Home

Coach Braun
Coming off a difficult 1 point loss to 1st place Cristo Rey, Beth Tfiloh looked to get back on track vs a Saints Peter & Paul team that had just knocked off 2nd place Concordia Prep.   The Warriors jumped out to a 7-1 lead and led 9-3 after the 1st period.  The Sabres opened the 2nd period on it’s own 9-3 run to tie it at 12 and the teams were tied again at 14 with 4:02 left in the half before BT closed on a 18-4 run to take a 32-18 lead into halftime.  Saints Peter & Paul manages to close the gap to 10 on twice in the 3rd period but the Warriors pushed the lead up to 45-30 at the end of the 3rd.    The lead never got below 12 in the 4th quarter as the Warriors pulled away for a 59-39 victrory.  Harris G. '19 led the way with a career high 30 points, including 17 in the 2nd quarter, to go along with 5 assists.  Oren P. '18 added 10 points and 11 rebounds for his 2nd double-double in a row.  Kameron G. '18 chipped in 8 points and 12 rebounds.
