Sixth Grade’s 3D Atom Models

Middle School science teacher Mrs. Beeny Finkelstein described her students' design process:

“They challenged themselves to choose elements with higher atomic numbers, requiring more effort and skill in arrangement of the atomic particles in energy levels and in the nucleus. They selected elements that they knew very little about and presented their common uses and interesting facts so students could see the connection between chemistry and the world in which they live. It really demonstrated how chemistry shapes our world!” View their thoroughly researched and creative models.
