Sixth Graders Create Lifetime Treasures and Memories at Mitzvah Week

While the boys created their own tefillin, the girls explored several mitzvot and decorated related objects to help them fulfill those mitzvot, including laser cut wooden challah boards created in the STEM Center. The girls’ Mitzvah Week activities were generously sponsored by the Beth Tfiloh Congregation Sisterhood. The girls expressed their gratitude to the Sisterhood for this memorable experience.

“I hope I can show my own children these special things I have made. This is something this is close to my heart. I really enjoyed the challah board. It is a beautiful thing.” -Kayla B. ‘25

“Thank you for helping Mitzvah Week exist! I learned many valuable lessons, including kindness, Shabbat, and different mitzvoth! All of the projects were so fun to make. I especially liked the challah board project, painting and making the candlesticks. I will keep all of these projects and
memories for years to come. Again thank you!” -Morielle S. ‘25

“Mitzvah Week was so much fun and we all had a blast! Thank you for everything you did to help! It was all amazing. One of my favorites was baking challah.” -Sophie M. ‘25
