Chazzan Candidate Tani Polansky Visits for Shabbat

Tani Polansky, a candidate to be our new Chazzan, will be joining us for Shabbat January 27-28. He will be leading davening at both Friday night and Saturday morning Shabbat services. Tani currently lives in Oakland, CA, with his wife Alyssa and their 4 month son. He has led both traditional and innovative alternative davening for many communities and individuals, and is working on the finishing touches on his first full length record “TeFEELah”. TeFEELah is a part of The TeFEELah Project, an extension of a movement he started while on campus at YU to spread meaningful prayer and community building through the power of music. According to Tani, he has spent his life developing his musical craft, first for the comfort it offered him, then the ability to connect to torah and prayer in deeper ways than he thought possible, and then for the gift he realized he could offer others.
