A MESSAGE FROM DR. SCHORR ABOUT OUR DRESS CODE

I am requesting the support of parents to assist us in ensuring compliance with the
dress code. The goal of our school
dress code is to create an environment that is professional and respectful of our school community. Significant concerns about
dress code noncompliance were raised in our recent Parent Survey, and we have also heard from many parents who have purchased appropriate clothing only to have students alter how they are worn. We are putting in place a new system in our Middle and High School to communicate
dress code noncompliance to students and their parents, and ask for the support of our parents. Only with your help can we create a professional school environment and a culture of respect that supports our mission.
DRESS CODE ENFORCEMENT PROTOCOL• If a student is in noncompliance with the dress code, he or she will be required to change into a loaner garment to wear during the school day, take home, launder and return to school the next day. Parents will be charged for any loaner garments not returned. Kippot will be available for purchase in the school office.
• In lieu of wearing a loaner garment, a student will be allowed to call a parent to bring an appropriate replacement.
• Parents will be notified by email when their child has been found in violation of the dress code.
• After three (3) dress code violations, a student will be given detention.
