The Beth Tfiloh Memorial Room
Beth Tfiloh Congregation maintains yahrzeit records for relatives of all members, and for deceased members. The Congregation sends yahrzeit notices to members to remind them of the date of upcoming yahrzeits and to provide them with a variety of meaningful opportunities to observe the yahrzeit.

Time honored yahrzeit traditions include lighting a candle on the evening when the yahrzeit begins, attending services on the evening (Maariv), mornng (Shacharit) and afternoon (Mincha) of the yahrzeit to recite the Mourner's Kaddish, and giving tzedakah in memory of loved ones.

Meaningful ways to observe a yahrzeit at Beth Tfiloh include the following:
  • Attend services and recite the Mourner's Kaddish
  • Have a member of the family receive an alliyah in shul in honor of the Yahrzeit
  • Have a memorial prayer recited on the yahrzeit date
  • Make a donation to the Yahrzeit Fund in memory of a beloved relative
  • Sponsor a breakfast following the daily morning minyan
  • Sponsor a Seudah Shlishit, the third Shabbat meal
  • Purchase a memorial plaque in our Memorial Room
To indicate your interest in any of these options, please use the form below or contact Eve Kresin Steinberg at 410-486-1900.
By purchasing your family's cemetery plots during your lifetime you not only provide peace-of-mind to you and your family, but you have the opportunity to choose the location of your plot and ensure that family members can have an eternal resting place together.

Pre-purchasing your family's cemetery plots relieves your family of having to make this decision, and the related financial investment, at a dificult and emotional time.

In order to encourage pre-planning, Beth Tfiloh enables members to purchase cemetery plots in affordable installment payments beginning as low as $100 per year. For more information, contact Becky Lavon at blavon@btfiloh.org or call 410-413-2206.
