Welcome to Young Family Shabbat and Teen Minyan

YOUNG FAMILY SHABBAT

Come connect with a community of young families and participate in a vibrant minyan where everyone feels welcome. Every week, parents and kids can stay together at this kid-friendly, full Shabbat morning davening, or drop kids off at their own groups for fun, age-appropriate Shabbat activities. Afterwards, parents and kids reunite for joint activities together, followed by a family kiddush and social time.

We are so excited to offer this young family experience and invite you to partner with us to make this minyan a truly unique place for your family to celebrate Shabbat.

TEEN MINYAN

Teen Minyan is a student-led minyan for Bar and Bat Mitzvah-age through high school. We come together to daven and enjoy classic Teen Minyan staples such as donuts, kiddush, Jeopardy, Family Feud, and trivia with our own spin.  We have great discussions on moral dilemmas, divrei Torah, parshah trivia, raffles, prizes, and more.

Teen Minyan is a partnership program between teens and the BT Congregation, where we strive to create an environment where everyone can feel comfortable and can take on leadership roles. Thank you to our teen leaders!

Teen Minyan Schedule
  • 9:47 am: Davening begins with Shochen Ad in Middle School Beit Midrash
  • 9:47 am: Teen girls discussion group in Weiner Board Room
  • 10:20 am: Break after Shacharit for Dunkin Donuts
  • 10:30 am: Torah Reading & Mussaf
  • 11:15 am: Activity, teen kiddush, basketball on the Middle School outdoor courts after kiddush
Teen Minyan runs because of our awesome teen volunteers!

Boys and girls are invited to take on leadership roles, including leading part of davening, reading Torah, or serving as gabbai. Teen Minyan is a great environment to practice skills or try something new. Our staff is available to help coach the teens. Sign up here to volunteer
