• 10:15 am: The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising: A Family History
, presentation by Dr. Allan Zarembski
Dr. Zarembski's family (on both his mother and father's side) were present in the Warsaw ghetto from the beginning to its end. He will talk about the establishment, operation and destruction of the ghetto, to include the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, and will interconnect it with his family in the ghetto. The presentation will include slides, photos and discussion of the events themselves. This presentation is based on a lecture Dr. Zarembski gives annually to the University of Delaware's Holocaust Studies program

Davina Grojnowski is an Oxford-educated scholar with a doctoral degree in Second Temple Judaism. She has a background in Jewish Studies and Classics, and has taught at the prestigious King's College, London. She is well-known in her field as an expert on Josephus and classical literature and has published and presented widely on the writings of Josephus and Nehemiah as well as the evolution and origins of religion.
