Rabbi Jason Goldstein: A Taste of Talmud
Learn how to learn through a methodical examination of the second chapter of Masechet Bava Metzia. We will pay special attention to the understanding the logic of the Gemara, while exploring some of the classic medieval commentaries. We will discuss the mitzvah of returning lost objects, the halachic definition of despair, and the social responsibilities that Jews have for one another.
