Lifecycle Events

Beth Tfiloh's clergy are available for a full range of lifecycle events and other services for our members, including brit/baby namings, bar and bat mitzvahs, counseling… or even just a friendly listening ear when you need it.

BIRTH
Mazal tov on your new addition! We are thrilled to be a part of this special time in your lives. We want to help welcome your baby into your family and the Jewish community so you can focus on tending to your new baby.

To sponsor a congregational kiddush in honor of your simcha, contact Madyson Gurley, Event Logistics Coordinator, at mgurley@btfiloh.org or 410-413-2332.

BAR AND BAT MITZVAHS
Your child's Bar or Bat Mitzvah is one of the most important religious milestones in your family's life. At Beth Tfiloh we include your entire family in a year of special programming designed to make your child's Bar/Bat Mitzvah a learning experience for all. Girls can have a Saturday morning Bat Mitzvah service within a Modern Orthodox framework, and can also choose to conduct a Women's Mincha tefillah on Shabbat afternoon.

Process
The Bar/Bat Mitzvah process begins in the fall following a child's 10th birthday. Dates are assigned in January/February of the following year. Family programming begins in the fall following the child's 11th birthday. Private instruction begins 8-12 months prior to the Bar/Bat Mitzvah date. For complete details on making your child's Bar or Bat Mitzvah at Beth Tfiloh, contact Dan Silien, Executive Director, at 410-413-2202 or dsilien@btfiloh.org.

Our banquet rooms provide a variety of options for your reception, whether you prefer a buffet luncheon or a formal evening affair.
