This Temporary Dwelling: A Sukkot Invitation to Live with Self-Sacredness

On Sukkot, we leave the permanence of our homes and step into the sukkah, a beautiful and intentionally temporary dwelling. We decorate it. We gather in it. We bless it with our presence. We treat it as sacred, even while knowing it was never meant to last.
What if we thought about ourselves in the same way?
Join psychologist and host of The Dr. Boundaries Podcast, Dr. Rebecca Gras, for a meaningful Sukkot conversation about what this holiday can teach us about inhabiting our own temporary dwelling: the self. Together, we’ll explore what it means to treat our bodies, our energy, our time, and our relationships with greater sacredness, and how an awareness of life’s impermanence can invite us not to withdraw from life, but to inhabit it more fully.
Sukkot reminds us that temporary does not mean less precious. Perhaps it means precisely the opposite.
