  • Institutional Advancement Associate

    Beth Tfiloh’s Institutional Advancement Office is seeking a full-time associate to provide support for the Director of the Institutional Advancement as well as the Advancement Team. The Institutional Advancement Team is the collaboration between the Development, Admissions and Communications Department of Beth Tfiloh and is a collaborative, mission-driven and high-volume work environment.
     
    Responsibilities of this position will include but not be limited to:
    • Supporting donor stewardship efforts
    • Drafting gift agreements and coordinating signatures through docusign
    • Providing meeting support to include logistics and set-up, preparation of agendas and materials, and taking meeting minutes
    • Managing donor recognition vendors
    • Providing event support
    • Tracking and processing vendor invoices
    • Invoicing and tracking multi-year major gifts commitments
    • Providing customized queries and reports
    • Supporting data needs
    • Drafting personalized acknowledgements
    Ideal candidates should be proficient in Microsoft office suite and have skills to navigate CRM’s and/or donor databases, have a high level of efficiency, and the ability to work as a part of a collaborative professional team.

  • Lower School Guidance Counselor

    Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School is seeking to fill the position of Lower School Guidance Counselor (approximately 15-20 hours per week). The Guidance Counselor will serve as a case manager for students experiencing behavioral or emotional challenges at school, for  Kindergarten through 4th Grade.
    The Guidance Counselor will also design social-emotional learning opportunities for students and work with teachers to holistically integrate social-emotional learning through the school day. Confidentiality and security of school records is required.
    Qualifications:
    • Comprehensive understanding of child development and experience working with elementary aged students in a clinical capacity
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
    • Master’s degree in Elementary School Guidance and Counseling, Clinical Social Work, or Pastoral/Psychological Counseling Certification in guidance and counseling at the elementary school level or comparable credential.

  • Upper School Nurse (Part-time)

    Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to manage the Upper School Health Suite (Grades 5-12) two days per week from 8 am to 4 pm (days to be determined). The school nurse must have current CPR certification, and is responsible for dispensing medication, treating injuries and illnesses, updating health records, and communicating with parents and members of the administration.

  • Hebrew Language Teacher (Lower School)

    Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School is seeking a Hebrew Language teacher for its Lower School for the 2023-2024 school year.

    The ideal candidate will be an educator who is a native Hebrew speaker and has expertise teaching students in Grades 1-4 at varying academic levels to achieve language comprehension and written and oral expression in Hebrew, as well as a love of Israel, and a knowledge and appreciation of Israeli culture.

    Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School is seeking a lower school learning specialist to provide academic support for the 2023-2024 school year. Responsibilities include supporting students with language-based learning differences in a small group learning environment for reading instruction, writing, and math instruction. Candidates should have a background and experience in Special Education as well as Orton Gillingham training.  We are looking for passionate educators who exhibit flexibility, creativity and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

  • Middle School Academic Support Teacher

    Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School is seeking a part-time teacher for the Academic Support program for the 2023-24 school year.  Primary responsibilities include working with students in Grades 5-8 in a small group setting.  As part of a team, the teacher will be expected to support content as well as time management, organization and study skills. Qualifications include: Master’s in Education (Special Education and /or expertise in learning disabilities, adolescent development or speech and language); ability to work collaboratively as part of a team with students, parents and faculty; knowledge of assistive technology valued.   • Physical Education teacher

    Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School is seeking a full-time Middle School physical education teacher for the coming school year. The ideal candidate has a degree in physical education, has worked with students at the middle school level, and enjoys collaborating with a team of teachers to teach lifetime skills to build students' confidence. Responsibilities include implementing a curriculum that emphasizes skill development, sportsmanship, and wellness. 

    A minimum of two years of teaching experience is preferred but not required.

  • Athletic Trainer - Part Time

    Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School, a co-educational Jewish private school in Baltimore serving students in preschool through high school, seeks an Athletic Trainer for its Athletic Department. This is a part-time, 10-month position that reports directly to the Athletic Director.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Assess athletic injuries, provide treatment, and supervise rehabilitation for student-athletes.
    • Coordinate with school nurses, athletic department staff, school administration, and parents following injuries to student-athletes.
    • Maintain detailed records of injuries and treatments.
    • Provide on-site coverage at games and practices daily after regular school hours.
    • Be available and reachable by phone for emergencies at other sites during athletic events.
    • Work occasional weekend hours such as Saturday night and Sunday games.
    • Provide extended coverage at games during annual high school basketball tournament.
    • Maintain student-athlete records for medical clearance and ImPACT concussion testing.
    • Maintain records for coaches’ CPR/AED training and concussion awareness training.
    • Maintain inventory of team medical kits.
    • Teach approximately two Middle School Physical Education classes per day.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
    • 1-2 years of experience in a school setting is preferable.
    • Must be certified as an Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification.
    • Must be licensed in the State of Maryland or eligible to obtain licensure in the state of Maryland within 60 days of hire.
    • Must be CPR/AED certified.
    Essential Qualities:
    • Tech savvy – able to use email and document sharing services effectively and efficiently.
    • Team player – adaptable to the changing needs of a large athletics program.
    • Role model – demonstrates professional behavior and treats students and colleagues with respect at all times.
    • Athletic background – a history of playing and/or enjoying a variety of sports.
    • Communicator – excellent oral and written communication skills.
