    ISEE Registration Details
The ISEE exam is just one piece of the admissions process. It gives our Admissions Team insight into your child’s overall academic performance. Your child may retake the ISEE test three times per year in an effort to increase performance, but each child may only take one test per season. The fall season runs from August-November, the winter season runs from December-March, and the spring/summer season runs from April-July.

  • 5. Lower School Admissions Testing

Students applying for Kindergarten will take the Gesell Early Screener. This tool allows the Admissions Committee to gain important and holistic information about your child’s readiness for Kindergarten. The Gesell is a twenty-minute assessment based out of the Yale Child Study Center that looks at your child’s Cognitive, Language, Motor, and Social/Emotional/Adaptive Skills – which all focus on Kindergarten readiness. Once you fill out an application, the assessment is coordinated by the Admissions Office and is scheduled in a relaxed and non-stressful manner. In addition to the Gesell, class observations and teacher input will round out the screening process.

Students who are applying to 1st through 4th grades, will take a Math and Reading assessment with the Lower School Principal when they spend a shadow day at Beth Tfiloh.
