  • Administrative Assistant - Part Time

    Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School in Pikesville serves close to 1,000 students in its PreSchool through High School. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for the billing and collection of tuition as well as the administrative support of the Financial Aid Program.
     
    Daily responsibilities includes providing support to the Chief Administrative Officer by managing payment plans through specialized software, working with both the Admissions team and the school families. In addition, the Administrative Assistant works with FACTS Grant and Aid to provide financial information for the Financial Aid Committee to review annually.
     
    This individual will need to address the needs of our families with sensitivity and confidentiality.

    The qualified candidate will possess:
    • A strong attention to detail
    • The ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Strong Excel and Microsoft Word skills
    • Basic bookkeeping experience
    Preferred: Prior experience in tuition management/collection
    Bachelor's degree required.
    Hours are M-F, 10 am-3 pm.

  • Athletic Trainer - Full Time

    Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School, a co-educational Jewish private school in Baltimore serving students in preschool through high school, seeks an Athletic Trainer for its Athletic Department. This is a full-time, 10-month position that reports directly to the Athletic Director.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Assess athletic injuries, provide treatment, and supervise rehabilitation for student-athletes.
    • Coordinate with school nurses, athletic department staff, school administration, and parents following injuries to student-athletes.
    • Maintain detailed records of injuries and treatments.
    • Provide on-site coverage at games and practices daily after regular school hours.
    • Be available and reachable by phone for emergencies at other sites during athletic events.
    • Work occasional weekend hours such as Saturday night and Sunday games.
    • Provide extended coverage at games during annual high school basketball tournament.
    • Maintain student-athlete records for medical clearance and ImPACT concussion testing.
    • Maintain records for coaches’ CPR/AED training and concussion awareness training.
    • Maintain inventory of team medical kits.
    • Teach approximately two Middle School Physical Education classes per day.

    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor’s Degree is required.
    • 1-2 years of experience in a school setting is preferable.
    • Must be certified as an Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification.
    • Must be licensed in the State of Maryland or eligible to obtain licensure in the state of Maryland within 60 days of hire.
    • Must be CPR/AED certified.
    Essential Qualities:
    • Tech savvy – able to use email and document sharing services effectively and efficiently.
    • Team player – adaptable to the changing needs of a large athletics program.
    • Role model – demonstrates professional behavior and treats students and colleagues with respect at all times.
    • Athletic background – a history of playing and/or enjoying a variety of sports.
    • Communicator – excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Early Childhood Educator - Full Time

    Beth Tfiloh PreSchool, a Jewish, Reggio-inspired preschool located in Baltimore, Maryland, is seeking talented teachers for children ages 2-5. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, have experience with emergent curriculum, and are knowledgeable about Jewish practice and observance.
      
    In addition, candidates should demonstrate creativity, a sense of humor, love of children, knowledge of child development, experience with inquiry-based learning, and a reflective teaching practice.

    This is a full-time position.

  • Lower School Science Teacher - Full Time

    Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community School is seeking a Lower School Science Teacher for Kindergarten through 4th Grade.  This teacher would be responsible for the science education for all Lower School students.  

    Responsibilities: 
    • Teaching and continuing to develop an NGSS-aligned science curriculum  
    • Utilizing hands-on teaching strategies and approaches for teaching science  
    • Collaborating with classroom teachers to integrate homeroom content and science content  
    • Liase with Middle School and High School teachers to ensure curriculum flow  
    • Integrate engineering curriculum into each grade level  
    Requirements:  
    • Bachelor's in education or science  
    • Experience with school-age children and an understanding of child development  
    • A sense of humor, flexibility, energy, patience, and creativity required.

  • Lower School Math Enrichment Teacher - Full Time

    The Lower School Math Enrichment teacher will be an integral member of the Lower School team for grades K-4.  Deep knowledge and ability to teach and work with students and faculty on kindergarten through 4th grade math skills is required. A qualified candidate will be able to provide acceleration and enrichment for students in each grade level, will possess a strong knowledge and familiarity with child development, and a passion for working with elementary school students and faculty. 
      
    The Lower School math enrichment specialist will: 
    • Work collaboratively with Lower School administration and faculty to plan and implement compelling and rigorous curricular math experiences. 
    • Work collaboratively with the grade-level teachers to target specific student needs for math enrichment. 
    • Teach several sections of accelerated math throughout Lower School. 
    • Have knowledge and experience with using resources from professional math organizations to inform and evaluate lower school math curricula.
    Requirements 
    • University degree in mathematics, mathematics education, or education. 
    • Experience working with elementary school students. 
    • A sense of humor, flexibility, energy, patience, creativity required.

    Beth Tfiloh Dahan Community High School is seeking a high school science teacher to teach biology and chemistry. Position can be full-time or part-time and may include AP, honors and non-honors classes. The ideal candidate will display proficiency in incorporating hands-on and laboratory-based learning experiences to enhance the classroom learning. Salary would be based on education and teaching experience, though prior teaching experience or certification is not mandatory.
