Rabbi Ysoscher Katz is Chair of the Talmud Department at Yeshivat Chovevei Torah. He studied at the Satmar, Brisk, and Beit Yosef Navaradok yeshivot, received semikha shortly after high school, and has taught Talmud and halakhah at a wide array of institutions. He has directed the Lindenbaum Center for Halakhic Studies, composed responsa on vital contemporary halakhic issues, and writes extensively on matters pertaining to Jewish society.
Dr. Sharon Flatto is a Professor of Judaic Studies at Brooklyn College and the Deputy Director of its Graduate Program. Specializing in early modern Jewish history and Kabbalah, Professor Flatto has taught at a broad range of educational institutions: Yale, Queens College, Brown, and numerous adult education programs. She is the author of The Kabbalistic Culture of Eighteenth-Century Prague: Ezekiel Landau (the ‘Noda Biyehudah’) and his Contemporaries, and various scholarly articles.
