Middle School's Mosaic Celebrates Israel and Klal Yisrael

Middle School students worked together with artist/educator Rena Fruchter (and former Dr. Schorr student) to select, shape and glue thousands of tiles and colored glass fragments into this original work of art.

The mural is crowned by the words, “Beth Tfiloh loves Israel” and “K’ish Echad B’Lev Echad (as one person with one heart), symbolizing our belief in the unity of “K’lal Yisrael.” A magnificent door in the center of a blue and white Magen David leads from Israel’s past to her future, emblazoned with the number 70, and references the special power of our Jewish homeland which, “opens the door to your heart and the window to your soul.”
