Schwartz Scholar-in-Residence Series: Rabbi Yosef Furman & Ronda Arking

Ronda Angel Arking will teach the Kiddush class. Ronda has spent more than 30 years working in curriculum development and education technology, helping to shape how students learn and educators teach. In addition to her professional work in education, she has pursued a lifelong passion for Jewish learning. Ronda served as Managing Editor of Conversations, the journal of the Institute for Jewish Ideas and Ideals, and holds a master’s degree in Biblical and Ancient Near Eastern Civilization. Ronda has taught Tanakh shiurim in synagogues and at conferences, and has a particular interest in the artistry of biblical narrative.

Rabbi Yosef Furman will deliver the Young Family Minyan drasha during services. Rabbi Furman has been a Rebbe in Beth Tfiloh High School for the past twelve years and has taught the Daf Yomi in Beth Tfiloh Congregation for the past four and a half years. Rabbi Furman received rabbinic ordination from Rabbi Berel Wein and has thirty-two years’ experience in Jewish education. He is married with six children, one of whom attended Beth Tfiloh High School.
