Warriors Defeat Sabres to Close on Playoff Spot

Beth Tfiloh continued to climb back from a rough start to the season by defeating 2nd place Sts. Peter & Paul 62-60; the Sabres defeated the Warriors ealier in the year 69-35.

The game was a tight battle in the 1st half with the Sabres clinging to a slim lead most of the way. They led 16-15 after 1 and stretched the lead to 27-21, but a Justin S. '17 3 shortly before halftime made the score 27-24.

In the 3rd quarter, Yair P. '16 made 2 threes (six for the game) to lead a balanced attack as Beth Tfiloh outscored the Sabers 21-12 in the period to take a 45-39 lead into the 4th.

Sts. Peter & Paul fell behind 55-45 before mounting a furious comeback to take the lead 59-57. From that point on, Jeremy F. '16 made 5/6 from the FT line and BT got big stops late to win 62-60.

Yair P. '16 led the way with a game high 22 points, and fellow Senior Jeremy F. '16 added 17, 14 in the 2nd half.  Next up the Warriors face Concordia Prep, Cristo Rey, and Jemicy all in a row in their late season push to make the playoffs!  Go BT!
