The Laws of Shabbat
Weekly, Tuesdays, 7 pm (begins October 21)
Facilitator: Rabbi Jason Goldstein
In this class we will explore the halachic process by examining the laws of Shabbat. Utilizing the popular Tzurba M’Rabanan curriculum, we’ll start each unit by reflecting on the relevant Biblical verses, move on to the Talmudic discussion, and continue to trace the conversation all the way through modern day commentators. Along the way we will meet some of the most important figures in the history of halakhic discourse. English translation will be provided for all texts.
