4's, 1st Grade Celebrate Tu B'Shevat Through Storytelling and Crafts

"The kids knew so much about plants and trees!" exclaimed Morah Kaplowitz. "We started with an ice breaker activity and realized we had a lot in common. After our discussion, we read a story called Dear Tree, which is a letter a young boy writes to a tree giving it positive hopes and wishes for its new year. Then we partnered up with our PreSchool friends and created trees by twisting wire together to form the trunk and branches. We then began to decorate our tree with 'leaves' represented by beads."
