Cybersecurity 101 with Scott Blumberg '03

Scott has a master's degree in cybersecurity and has previously worked in the private sector supporting NASA, and in the healthcare industry. He currently works for the Federal Government as a cyber and privacy SME (subject matter expert). 

 

Scott designed a curriculum to teach students cyber fundamentals, including basic networking concepts, password protection, malware detection, and an introduction to cryptography. The goal is to enable students to understand threats that exist and how to recognize them, while keeping their data secure.
