BT Grandparents Get Involved

The exercise was part of a Grandparent Ambassador training, facilitated by BT parent and congregant Mandy Diamond of Blue Zone Thinking who specializes in strategy development, cultural change initiatives and executive coaching. By accessing these emotions, Grandparent Ambassadors-in-training understood what it is that makes BT such an important part of their lives – and their grandchildren’s.

Our Beth Tfiloh Grandparent Ambassador Group serves a critical role in the BT community — that of passionate advocates for Beth Tfiloh out in the community. Grandparents learned effective communication strategies to use when speaking with peers and prospective ambassadors about Beth Tfiloh. As we learned, 92% of consumers trust referrals from people they know!

Grandparent Ambassadors enjoy behind-the-scenes access to BT, such as school tours led by Beth Tfiloh Director of Education Dr. Zipora Schorr, and opportunities to volunteer in activities that strengthen their connection to Beth Tfiloh. Grandparent Ambassadors also take on important leadership roles, such as:

- Conceptualizing and planning engaging programming for grandparents and grandchildren
- Helping raise the critical resources needed to make a BT education possible for so many students
- Representing the Beth Tfiloh grandparent community as our most trusted advocates

Beth Tfiloh grandparents are essential to our school’s long-term growth and success. We feel blessed to call members of the Grandparent Ambassador Group our friends and partners in building a strong volunteer base, and staunch advocates for Beth Tfiloh.

Contact Alisa Rank for more information or to get involved at 410-413-2350 or arank@btfiloh.org.
