Family: I have been married to my wife and eshet chayil, Holly, for the past 11 years. We have three beautiful children. My daughter Jordyn is 8 years-old and is in 2nd grade at BT. My son Hunter is 6 and in the Kindergarten at BT. My youngest daughter Marley is 22 months and is in the Mommy & Me program within the BT preschool.
Business/Profession: I am president of Fram Monument Company located in Baltimore and Rockville.
BT Affiliation: I am proud to say I am a BT Congregation member, a BT School parent, as well as a BT Camp Parent. BT is our home away from home especially since we live so close.
How and when did you first become involved in Beth Tfiloh? I became a member of the Beth Tfiloh community seven years ago when my family joined the Shul after moving into the neighborhood and my oldest daughter, Jordyn, started preschool. At first, we did not realize all the benefits of living so close to BT, making it easy to commute back and forth. Since then I have become involved in the Brotherhood, Board of Directors, and Membership Committee, as well as the Cemetery committee.
How and when did you first become involved with the Brotherhood? I became involved with the Brotherhood about two years ago when I was asked by Louis Baer to be a liaison between Preschool fathers and the Brotherhood. My mission was to get younger school fathers involved in the Brotherhood to bring youth and new ideas. This year, I was asked to be the Treasurer of the Brotherhood, which I gladly accepted. I enjoy balancing the books as well as brainstorming ways to increase revenue for the Brotherhood, making it possible to run programs and donate funds where necessary.
What is your favorite Brotherhood project? I truly enjoyed creating the Brotherhood Donor Dinner Ad Book last year. As my first year involved, it was a lot of work all at once, but ended in an incredible creation. I helped redesign the cover and overall journal format and received nothing but compliments from Brotherhood members as well as attendees. The book brought in a tremendous amount of revenue to the Brotherhood and was a satisfying project to see from start to finish.
What is the best part of being a Brotherhood member? I enjoy the camaraderie between the different generations of men involved in the Brotherhood. The Brotherhood is a diverse group that truly cares about the betterment of the greater BT community. It is fulfilling to attend meetings and discuss ways of giving back to BT and the overall community.
Please share a favorite Brotherhood memory. Last year at the Brotherhood Donor Dinner, the entertainment was outstanding. I nearly rolled off my seat listening to one of the comedians of the night. I look forward to the Donor Dinner again this upcoming year.
Why is it important to be involved in the BT Brotherhood? The Brotherhood is a foundation of Beth Tfiloh. The men of the Brotherhood give of themselves to better the BT community. I am proud to say I am one of those men and look forward to a lasting relationship and to continue this mission in the future.
