Mr. Lavie comes to BT from Israel where he served as Grade Dean at Jerusalem's Boyer High School, with responsibility for 240 students, 55 faculty members, and where he taught history, civics, Jewish studies and social justice. Prior to teaching, Mr. Lavie served as the Deputy Director and Director of Department Training and Supervision in the Israeli Prime Minister’s Security Division, and served as a Platoon Sergeant in the IDF. Mr. Lavie was a finalist in Israel’s “Hamoreh shel Hamedinah” (Teacher of the Year) competition, nominated by students, parents and colleagues.
