Chew on This: Kindergarten Learns About Dental Hygiene

Kindergarten mom and dentist Dr. Cheryl Frenkel Moss and her brother, dentist-in-training Moishe Frenkel, gave our Kindergartners something to chew on—dental hygiene!

The program started with Dr. Moss reading The Tooth Book by another famous doctor, Dr. Seuss. Next, Dr. Moss's office manager, Mr. Motes, gave several students tooth costumes so they could practice brushing and flossing. Finally, Mr. Frenkel had students dip eggs into several different drinks -- fruit punch, iced tea, apple juice, soda and water. The children then attempted to remove the drink dyes from the eggs. Not surprisingly, soda left behind the most stubborn stains.
