Joy. Discovery. Respect.

Beth Tfiloh PreSchool is dedicated to the belief that preschool offers extraordinary opportunities for the emotional, spiritual, physical, and intellectual growth of young children. Our team of educators, professional staff, and volunteers are passionate about their work—and it shows. Children feel safe, loved, and excited about coming to BT PreSchool every day. Preschool at BT is a celebration of life, learning, and Jewish values. Children are encouraged to exercise their curiosity and stretch their imaginations as they explore the world around them. The program combines opportunities for learning initiated by the children themselves with age appropriate activities guided by their teachers. Children and their parents are embraced by our school family, developing meaningful relationships within the entire community.

  • Celebrating Judaism

We lay the foundation for a lifelong love of Judaism and Torah by integrating Jewish values and traditions into each day. We express our love for our heritage by exploring the sounds, sights, smells, tastes, and textures of our rich traditions. Children are naturally inquisitive about Shabbat, the holidays, and Israel. Our teachers listen to their questions and suggestions, and follow their cues to create multi-disciplinary experiences that explore and celebrate the meaning, beauty and joy of Jewish life. Children learn Hebrew through conversation, song, dance, and a multitude of other engaging activities as we celebrate Jewish rituals and holidays and our connection to Israel and the Jewish people.
  • Igniting a Child’s Curiosity and Passion

Each child is born with a desire to explore, discover and learn. At BT PreSchool our classrooms bring the world to our children through an engaging environment that sparks their interest and enthusiasm for learning. Every space is designed to stimulate discussion, inquiry and discovery.

Our PreSchool’s philosophy is inspired by the Reggio Emilia schools in Italy, one of the most highly respected early childhood programs in the world. We view every child as capable and competent, curious and full of imagination. Our teachers work alongside the children to create authentic experiences that engage children’s interests and encourage them to think, question, investigate, explore and discover, all through a Jewish lens. Our curriculum is referred to as the “Emergent Curriculum,” since it emerges from the children and their interests.
  • Parents are our Partners

Children flourish in our PreSchool because everyone—from administrators to classroom teachers, specialists, and volunteers—loves what she does and devotes limitless energy and attention to creating an environment ideal for young children.

Critical to our program is our accessibility to parents. Staff throughout the PreSchool know all of the children and are available during and after school hours. In turn, we encourage parents to be involved with us—and their children—by volunteering at school and attending a variety of classes for adults and family enrichment programs.

Parents are always welcome. Our BT Street Café is a great place to develop friendships with other parents and to relax while waiting for children at the end of the PreSchool day.
  • The BT PreSchool Community

A full calendar of PreSchool family Shabbat and holiday programs provides many additional opportunities to meet other young families and celebrate with them.
